Hi,

New to the site and first time posting.

I have a 1979 Boston Whaler, it used to be a work boat and has had its share of encounters with docks and rocks, all have been repaired with various 2 part epoxy's over time, so not a show boat but solid.

I have plans next spring to fair and barrier coat the whole hull, not going to go through the process of new gel coat

My immediate concern is that the gel-coat is wearing thin where the boat meets the bunks to the point where i can see the fiberglass. as a temporary repair could I prep and apply interprotect 2000e only to those areas this year, and when I redo my whole bottom next year will the new coat of Interprotect bond to the repaired areas.

I have had many boats over the years but never attempted doing this type of repair.

Thanks,

Marc
