I have a number of boats in the water 9 months out of the year in two locations.  Boats range from sailboats to fast (50 mph) powerboats.  One location is a salt estuary (salinity 30).  The other is a brackish estuary (salinity of 15).

I have been using Micron Extra on all boats.  In a full salt location, I get 2 full years of good antifouling performance.  In the brackish location, I get pretty heavy slime shortly after launching.  It's scrubbable, but on a 32 ft. catamaran, the becomes a bit of a pain.  No barnacles though.

My normal supplier, Jamestown Distributors no longer carries Micron Extra.  I've also noticed that there are a few water based Micron paints now available.

Here are my questions:

1.  What's the best performing Micron paint with respect to both antifouing ability and longevity?
2.  Is one particular paint better in brackish or full salt conditions?

Not really worried about cost, just want the best performing paint.  Water based paint would be a nice plus, but only if it is a top performer as well.  And I do all my own work.
