I'm planning to paint my topsides with Perfection this spring. Should I paint the entire hull field ( to the waterline) with the topside color and the tape and overcoat it with the boot stripe color? Or should I tape the hull and paint the topsides only to the point where the boot stripe begins? I plan on a flag blue hull with a white boot.
Another question is should I use Perfection for the boot stripe, or Brightsides? I assume that the stripe will require more frequent cleaning and touch up, and I wasn't sure which paint is the usual choice for this application. Thanks! Ed

You can paint the hull to the water line then come back and tape off for your boot strip. Either product would work fine for this application. The advantage of Brightside is white is sold in pints. |
