Plan on using VC Performance below waterline on my club racer. Gelcoat was really bad. Spent the last month sanding it completely off, down to the glass. If I understand, the next steps will be sealing the glass with unthickened epoxy, fairing, sanding, more epoxy, then VC. Then, of course more sanding and polishing. (I just can't get enough) Am I ok with this progression? Will I need to remove, then retape between each of these steps? Also what topside color most closely matches the VC Performance?                                                                                             Thanks                                                                                                                                                        Smallfry

Hi Smallfry,
Your propsed plan sure sounds like a good one and I would definitely recommend that you follow through with it.

However I will recommend that you do retape between each and every coat to esnure that you achieve and maintain clean and crisp lines throughout the entire job.

The closest matching topside color would be Brightside White Y4359 or Premium Yacht Enamel White Y1.

Hope this helps and good luck with the work!
