I would like to put some antifouling paint on the bottom half of my mooring ball, which I believe is heavy-duty vinyl. The only paint I have around is a little left-over Baltoplate. Does anyone know if it is safe to put the vinyl-based Baltoplate on the (presumably) vinyl mooring ball?

Unfortunately I am afraid to say, but I would recommend that you do not attempt to apply Baltoplate to this mooring ball as it contains very aggressive solvents, which could possibly begin to dissolve the ball itself.
I am also sorry to say, but we do not have a system (paint/primer) which will allow you to safely and properly coat a vinyl mooring ball as the vinyl itself creates the challenge which will likely lack adhesion and result in detachment.
I apologize for any inconvenience.
